Fig Tree House

Concealed beyond an understated timber façade a boardwalk draws you to the glazed entry of this contemporary coastal retreat.  An existing mature Moreton Bay fig tree became the focal point for the home.

The open plan living space features a suspended fireplace set against a natural stone wall adjacent to full height glazing that frames the stunning garden.  Externally, cantilevered steel with timber battens and upper floor window box projections add depth to the simple gabled form.
